Portrait of Colin Porter
Oil on Canvas
Colin Porter 1958 Commonwealth Games, Gold Medalist Rowing team, (Thames River). Three of the crew reached the final of the Olympic Games in 1960. Colin spent a lot of time sculling on the upper Thames. The white posts and danger sign mark a nearby weir and typify the upper reaches of that river. To anyone familiar with the river Thames, this scenery is unmistakable and probably occurs no where else.
